My take on my fav MEN of SpecialOps2
Superb acting by legendary KK Menon. All episodes of Special Ops Season 2 were thoroughly gripping. My assumptions regarding the plot were all the way wrong but there's an intent of enjoying benefits from both sides (Ismail and Faruq in S1; CIA and China S2) by the villains of Neeraj Pandey which I am able to interpret. In My honest opinion, The side crisis of the daughter is totally irrelevant but why was a new actor was assigned for Ruhani. This new actor is too healthy to even look like a tough agent.
More chase sequences of Avinash would have rocked the show. Interestingly all the tough boys wore pink outfits time to time and looked absolutely stunning. Vertical striped Blue shirt of Faruq doesn't go unnoticed.Himmat Singh literally single handedly owned Pakistan, graciously wore the bottle green shirt which contrasted beautifully with the mahogany brown wooden government department.
Dholakia also needs the number of Raj Shamani now but jokes apart the Season's first episode named Friday (inspired from Friday Storytellers) opens with huge burden of expectations from its viewers but also delivers all of that to its viewers in a neat fashion. The very first episode introduces the double strike and Himmat Singh takes charge. His predictions remain spotless in further episodes which touch upon financial frauds, nuclear plant issues etc but the take on honey trap is very interesting.
Dholakia doesn't fall in honey trap of a visibly beautiful woman but Collector's hacker immediately gives in to the attention of a woman on a chat. It shows its less about the honey and more about the psyche and insecurity which makes people fall in trap of women. Bringing Ruhani's husband doesn't add any comic relief, the wolves scene could have been a little longer. But before I nitpick further I must acknowledge I wasn't bored at all in this era of short attention span.
The Villian has no family, is a global citizen and an orphan who's a genius. Being a psychopath he collects people in his life wheather be wife, children or musician.Last season was about a lingering storyline between Juhi and Avinash. Even though they r together they aren't really mingling the way I expected. Subramanian as per my expectations turned out to be the anti hero villian. Also if the childhood of Sudheer was in Maharashtra why was he reminiscing Banaras after the musical?
I also loved it when the tables were turned between Himmat Singh and Banerjee. Naresh Chaddha the silent yet prominent villian, Sudheer the psychopath main villian and Subramanyam the Anti Hero gets easily nailed by the stoic and strong Himmat Singh and his team. Overall the show has my heart.
